Mike Wazowski....yarn version (crocheted)

I went to watch Monsters University last Saturday with Marcel and we really enjoyed the  movie (original version, by the way, which is pretty rare when it comes to animation movies). After having a look at yarns I had at home (left overs), I felt like I could crochet one of the characters I really liked: Wazowski!! I prepared all "ingredients" yesterday and today I made it.

The mouth is made with black yarn. I attached a pin so as to make it a brooch.

COLOURFUL PIGLET

Some years ago I gave a try to amigurumi (crocheting)...but I was reluctant to knit creatures. It's indeed more complicated but the result is really worth it. I followed the instructions to knit a piglet, which I thought would be smaller, and here it is. However, it's still eyeless and has no snout holes yet. It looks blueish in the images but it's rather purple-dark violet.

Star-stitch (i don't know whether such a stitch has a name)+ improvised flower. This was again a present...This time the present flew to Italy.

The amigurumi horde (uuh)

X-mas holidays... finally time again to do some amigurumis and some more relaxing crochet (i kept working on some granny squares)....all of them were mini-happy-gifts for different people. They may be useless, but they are liked and somehow, they transmit some positive feeling, like Mr. Shamomo (i'll post some picture of it...uhm...well, at the end of this post... Shamomo ཤ་མོག་མོག a nice present I got.). The eyes of these amigurumis are like those of some mutant creature. I once tried to sew some tiny bead to make the eyes but it didn't look that fine, so I began using some felt tip pen for clothes. Sometimes the eyes look strange, like human eyes....but sometimes the amigurumi can become a scary creature.

The first red-thing is the beginning of the last amigurumi. I don't know whether those who were given an amigurumi gave a name to it....

Undefined creature

The pink thing. I crocheted this amigurumi for a friend. I began to crochet it not knowing what kind of creature I’d end up having, but an eared-thing....But even at the end I didn’t know what it was...And I can’t define the big-eared pink amigurumi yet. Unbestimmtek could be a suitable name for it. Maybe the friend I gave this amigurumi to gave a name to it.

aMiGuRuMi: the invaders

Yes! one day i discovered that there were some kind of crocheted creatures called あみぐるみ...very popular in Japan, and thus, easily exportable, globalisable....And after observing such creatures and noticing that I knew the way to crochet them I decided to make one. The result was Ninjin-chan. I plan to make some kind of octopus like one I saw (well, I’ll make my version, as usually) and some pintinho: the future Lemonade Joe (pepitu llimonada...paying homage to a Czechoslovakian western from the mid 60es...which I have, but in Czech....) and Darth Pintinho/Pisklatko. By the way...Ninjin-chan has a safety pin behind the head...This way I can pin it on my clothes (it's really useful...).
